Nutrition and a Healthy Life

Good nutrition is important because it not only makes you healthy, it can help you focus better, prevent obesity, and provides a better quality of life. You are what you eat, and it is true because if you eat a bunch of junk food you don't feel as good as if you were to eat fruits and veggies. A person with good nutrition is able to perform better not only in sports but as well as academically. Eating good foods also make you look healthier and younger.

Nutrition is always a part of life no matter how old you are. If you really want to live your life to the fullest, be healthy, or even become smarter, the first step is eating the right foods. Although it may be easier to go to a fast food joint, eating a salad or any healthy foods will help you more in the long run. Eating healthier also makes you feel more full meaning you eat less but get better nutrition as opposed to eating more, spending money, and not getting the benefits of being healthy. 

Eating healthy means eating many fruits and vegetables. Not too many grains. Eating chicken, eggs, milk, and fish are all a good source of protein that help build muscle. MIchelle Obama has even tried to set a plan for good nutrition and exercise - the Let’s Move! initiative. The first lady has made this plan to help stop obesity in America. Another great plan is the 5-2-1-0 plan, which means 5 or more fruits or vegetables a day, 2 hours maximum of screen time, 1 hour of physical activity, and 0 sugary drinks.
