TNB honored for their work - WOOT!

The substance-abuse subcommittee of the TNB is recognized by the Washington Mystics and INOVA Health.

A number of local youth and a local group have been honored by Inova Health Systems and the Washington Mystics with the 2011 Healthy Lifestyle MVP Award.
The accolade is presented to those who have made a significant contribution to healthy lifestyles among young people in the region, as nominated by their peers. Winners [were] slated honored at the Aug. 12 game between the Mystics and New York Liberty.
Arlington recipients include Skye Donova, Melissa Merson, Gladys Castellon [Vincenza Montante], and the substance-abuse subcommittee of the Arlington Teen Network Board.
Recipients were recognized “not only for their care and concern for the health of others, but [because they] have chosen to engage within their sphere of influence to advocate for health and well-being,” said Rod Williams, vice president of community affairs for Inova Health System.
