Traveling Abroad!

 an adventure...

Most of you have probably traveled all over the world, most likely to places that would make me very jealous. I wish I was as lucky as you all.

Well, I was lucky when I got to Costa Rica with my Spanish class a little over a week ago! ^^ That was my first time traveling outside of the U.S. Haha, I know, how lame of me. Most people leave the country for the first time when they're, like, babies. I've never had that opportunity, until now!

So, I'll try not to bore you with the details of my trip, but I must say that Costa Rica is a BEAUTIFUL country. After hiking in the rainforests, seeing the wildlife, and ziplining in the canopy, I was amazed! My friends and I also did things like visit a pineapple plantation (and drink pina coladas :D) and see how chocolate is made firsthand. We stayed with host families, too, which was really great because we were able to get a taste of what it's really like to live in Costa Rica. Everyone there is super nice.

Did I mention that we went to the beach? Not just a beach, though. It was a beach...with WHITE SAND AND BLUE WATER. And a sunset. So yeah, just imagine that, and imagine almost no people there besides a few friends and laying on the sand, relaxing as you hear the waves crash. Yeah, I did that.

I can honestly say that visiting Costa Rica was one of the best experiences of my life...maybe it is the best experience! I want to go back, but for now I'll just try to replay the memories in my head rather than cry about not being there, haha. *_*

If you want, tell me about a country that you have visited!

Ed. Note: More of Mora's lovely photos have been shared in the background of the website. Enjoy!

Til i was in college! i did junior year in Italy, and then in 2001 i visited Thailand and mexico. I've been to Brazil, Croatia, and Italy again since then. I can't really say which was my favorite - all were amazing. But i hope to go to Costa Rica someday. Thanks Mora!
