What Twitter has Taught Me

Is Twitter the new Facebook? *Recent Posts* The 101 on the Lingo

To be honest with you it feels extremely weird to be on a computer at my internship, writing blogs, typing on a keyboard and having a large monitor in front of me. I have grown so accustomed to the scroll bar and touch screen of an iPhone- it seems to be the only thing I use anymore - it’s crazy.

I have to admit though; Twitter is becoming a more and more popular app to click on even before I turn to check Facebook. IPhone or not, teens seem to gradually be using it in addition to Facebook. I don't think Facebook will ever be able to stop existing, because the interconnectedness is something that very few things in this world have. But, I notice that of my 1,263 friends on Facebook, I seem to see a lot more ads and only the same people on my news feed.
Twitter is very appealing because if you follow someone you see everything that they post, it is not only the “top stories” or the people that Facebook “thinks” you want to see.
Twitter is current and global- you get up to date knowledge not only from the people you follow, but also the celebrities, politicians, and parody accounts that you enjoy also.
