Intent
The Teen Portal (http://www.arlingtonteens.com) provides needed information and sharing opportunities for young people in Arlington 13 years old and older so that they might learn, grow and participate in their community.

Sponsorship
The Teen Portal website is sponsored by the Partnership for Children, Youth and Families under the guidance of the Partnership office in the Department of Human Services.

Hosting
The Teen Portal is hosted by Arlington County government within the Arlington County government website.  All terms and conditions for the County website apply to the Teen Portal.

Terms and Conditions Specific to the Teen Portal
Information for the Teen Portal is chosen for the interests and needs of young people 13 and older.  Children under 13 should seek parental permission to browse the site.  Participation in interactive functions is limited to young people 13 and older.  Self identification of age will requested at the time of registration or participation.

Editorial Policy
Content:  All content will respect the diverse beliefs of the Teen Portal.

Links:  Links are chosen to expand services offered on the site.  Arlington services will be given priority as well as sites written explicitly for teens.  To the greatest extent possible sites will be chosen that present accurate and balanced information without bias.  However, the presence of these links does not imply Arlington County government's endorsement or approval of these sites or the accuracy of their content.
