Arts camps: Teen Artist Series: Pottery Camp
Sometimes you have to make a mess to create something beautiful. That’s certainly the case in this threeweek camp! Beginner and returning teen artists will develop and expand their skills. Experience the hands-on satisfaction of clay sculpture; learn the basics of the potter’s wheel, hand building and glazing ceramics. Emphasis is on using
your imagination to make both fun and functional pieces. Wear old clothes and
bring an old towel. Open to all skill levels. Returning students will further develop skills and techniques. All materials provided. Staff to participant ratio: 1:8.

Teen Artist Series: Photography Camp
Expand your skills in black and white 35mm photography in this three-week program! Whether you are a beginner or a returning student, learn the basics of photography including developing film and printing photos. Students will create their own photo journals based on a theme of their choice. Teens are encouraged to bring a manually operated 35mm camera to class. Point and shoot and digital cameras are not recommended. There is a limited supply of cameras available to borrow for a $100 refundable deposit when the camera is returned. The deposit is not included in the program fee. Returning students will be taught at their skill level and encouraged to bring negatives and a camera to the first class. All materials provided. Staff to participant
