Wednesday, January 30.  Little Known Secrets of Paying for College: Financial Planning Advice for Parents.   
How can I pay for college in the most efficient and effective manner? How can I avoid jeopardizing the retirement nest egg? How can I qualify for the Maximum Financial Aid Package? What techniques should I use to position my student?The cost of a college education is higher than ever. This two hour workshop will teach parents how to finance school without bankrupting retirement. You’ll discover strategies that may enable to you to qualify for financial aid, sources for scholarships, and strategies for maximizing your wealth and minimizing your tax exposure, giving you greater cash flow for funding a college education.The workshop is geared toward parents but students are welcome to attend with their parents. Attendees will be provided hand out copies of a PowerPoint presentation. Please bring pen or pencil.  Sponsored by Yorktown High School and Arlington Family Network Workshop facilitated by financial planner Brock T. Jolly, Capitol Financial Planning.  7:00 p.m. Yorktown High School Cafeteria.  Parking available in the lot in front of the school.  Access from 29th Street off Yorktown Blvd.  While registration is not required, it is requested that anyone planning to attend try to email the PTA in advance for planning purposes only.
