Volunteer positions with Arlington-based organizations.

ArlingtonTeens Web Site: Contribute to the Arlington Teen Web site through blogs, artwork, YouTube videos and more while providing a valuable service to other Arlngton teens.

Teen Network Board: The Teen Network gives you a voice in Arlington. The Network works closely with the Partnership for Children, Youth and Families to make sure the needs of young people in the County get met. If you live in Arlington and go to high school, you are eligible. Applications are due in late spring for the following school year.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB): Arlington Public Library: TAB members read and review new books for the library. The Arlington Public Library has TAB groups in all Arlington County middle schools as well as a high school group that meets once a month at Central Library. Student Advisory Board: Members of the Student Advisory Board (a group of 24 high school students appointed by the Board with input from their classmates and school administrators) meet monthly to talk about teen concerns and to make recommendations to the School Board. Teen Council, Parks and Recreation Office for Teenagers: The Teen Council meets weekly with Parks and Recreation staff to plan activities such as dances for their peers.

National Youth Congress: Teens, aged 13-18, get to voice their opinions by participating in group summits while interning at the Arlington Department of Park, Recreation and Cultural Resources.

Arlington Libraries - Volunteer Opportunities for teens at Central and Shirlington libraries. Call 703-228-7680 for more information. Priority will be given to those interested in a long-term volunteer experience.
